Can we buy a online-shop at ePay?

No, ePay is a payment gateway. We focus exclusively on the operation of our payment gateway, and we therefore offers no web space (hosting) or shop systems.

Do we need a taxID/CVR?

Yes, In order to get an agreement with PBS, Euroline or Swedbank your company needs to be registered.

Is it possible to test ePay's system?

Yes you can make a test-account and test how our system works. If you decide you want to keep the account, we simply convert it to a production account.

Where do we find the error codes?

You can find the error codes inside your administration module for ePay here: ssl.ditonlinebetalingssystem.dk/admin

Our error codes are divided into two groups. Error codes from PBS and system error codes from ePay.
Error codes from PBS are values greater> 0, and system error codes are <0 (indicated by minus sign in front).

Where is the currency codes?

Host name is not validated for relay

If your domain is blocked when trying to execute a payment, it is because the domain it is not validated in ePay.

You can change your default domain inside the ePay admin under the menu: Settings -> Payment system

As default only one domain is allowed but more domains can be purchased. To do so please contact ePay.

How do I change my bank account?

If you have changed bank or by other means got new bank account information, then you must inform the aquirer about the new bank account.

The money is not yet on our bank account, after a capture?

Here is a summary of how long the transfer time is from you capture a transaction till it is available on your banking account.

If your acquirer is PBS:

Dankort + eDankort 1-2 banking days
VISA, VISA Electron, MasterCard, Maestro, JCB, American Express, Diners Club 28 banking days

If your acquirer is Euroline (SEB):

VISA, MasterCard, JCB, American Express, Diners Club Different  from merchant to merchant. Normally this is 10-14 days.

What is Instant capture ?

If you use Instant capture, our system captures the payment instantly, upon completion of the payment (the authorization).
This means you dont need to login into the ePay web-administration to manual capture the payment.

However be aware of the legal rules, upon a instant capture payment for an order. The law says you may capture the money when product or service is delivered to the buyer or third party(eg. sent the goods by post).

Google Chrome will not open ePay Payment Window (popup)

Google Chrome blocks pop-ups as standard. This means that ePay Payment Window will not open, when trying to make a payment on a webshop.

Follow the guide below to allow pop-ups from Chrome:

When the ePay Payment Window will not open click on this icon.

Following will appear.

Make sure to click on Allways allow pop-ups and then click on "Done"

Refresh the webshop(Click F5) and the ePay Payment Window will now open.

What is Split Payment ?

When Internet shops wishes to send the individual products, which is listed on the order, the internet shop will continuously be able to capture the amount to cover the deliveries. This is possible until the full amount of the total order is captured.

The full amount will not be reserved on the customer's credit card, which otherwise is normal procedure. Instead, the card is only validated when you capture a payment and is approved.

NOTICE: Split payment only works for Nets (Previous known as PBS) customers

Maestro doesn't work with recurring payments

Maestro cards cannot be used to process recurring payments. They can be used to make one-off payments but this is all. Maestro is the only debit/credit card company with these rules. It is a little known condition and most merchants have now ceased accepting these cards for recurring payments for this very reason.
